Trout Fishing Site Done with XHTML and CSS
Developed with Dreamweaver
Completed for a class, the Trout Fishing Site utilizes CSS RGBA background color styling to control transparency for browsers that support the property and a fall-back to a solid color scheme for browsers that do not support transparency in RGBA. The transparency effect allows the background image to partially show through behind the text where designed. The main background image also expands to fit the screen with the use of CSS.
The Site was developed with Dreamweaver using three templates and multiple library items. Sub-navigation is present on various pages within the Site. Several Youtube videos are embedded within the Site. jQuery Lightbox was used for the gallery images on the main page. All of the photos were provided by Ed.
As a note, the entire Portfolio site you are viewing is styled with CSS and done in XHTML transitional.

Group Project with Strict XHTML and CSS
As part of a group project, this XHTML Site was completed to demonstrate the building of a Site conforming to XHTML strict standards. The image at the top of the Site was designed by Ed Pines. The styling is done entirely with CSS. For the Site, the group chose a prior layout created by Ed as shown in other screen shots below.

Another Site Demonstrating the Use of Strict XHTML and CSS
This is similar in design to the Site shown above. This demonstrates the use of CSS to style content and then swap in different content while retaining the styling.

One More Site Demonstrating the Use of XHTML Strict and CSS
This is similar in design to the two XHTML Strict Sites shown above. The overall design and structure are similar, with CSS handling the styling.
