PHP and MySQL in Delivering a Mini CMS Site with Dual Login for Authors and Commenting by Members - Investing Related
This screenshot is of a site Ed created, for a class project, using PHP and MySQL which includes a dual login feature. Visitors can register as members and comment on articles, rating them on a scale of 1 to 5. This Site calculates the average rating for each article. The Site owner can create login ID's for people specifically designated as authors. Authors can create content and post it to the Site. Authors can add video and links to stock charts from the web to their articles. The authors also have the ability to go back into the created articles and edit, un-publish, and re-publish the articles. The Site also contains a contact form (similar to the one on this Portfolio site) to allow visitors to contact the Site owner. The Site was created in PHP and MySQL and makes use of the combination to deliver the final product.
Development was done on XAMPP.
You can view the Site on Ed's sister-site at www.practice1st.com.
PHP and MySQL to Deliver an Adopt a Pet Capability
The Site, created for a class project, to the right relies on PHP and MySQL to allow visitors to login, find a pet in need of a home, and adopt the pet. Once the pet is adopted, it is removed from availability. The Site displays the recently adopted pets once they have been adopted.
